I should have included Fred Olsen’s ships in the list of those departing on world cruises in the near future. Balmoral left today, I believe, although looking at AIS it seems that she didn’t get away until nearly 10 o’clock this evening. She’s away for 104 nights, but unfortunately I don’t know her itinerary. Black Watch leaves on 14 January for a very long cruise – 114 nights. She’s doing a full circumnavigation but mainly in the Southern Hemisphere – around South America, across the Pacific, then calls at ports in New Zealand and Australia before heading into tropical latitudes in Asia and eventually back to northern waters via the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean.
As with all the other world cruises, I wish all passengers on Balmoral and Black Watch a happy cruise.
