Salcombe harbour

We’re back, after a wonderful week. We were very lucky with the weather – warm sunshine almost all week, and almost completely dry. One thing – the seagulls down there make a hell of a racket at 5 o’clock in the morning. But we had a good time. The picture, of part of Salcombe harbour, was taken from the window of the apartment we hired just before we left yesterday morning.

There was even a bit of cruise interest. We spent an afternoon at Dartmouth, and spotted what were unmistakably cruise ship tenders running in and out of the harbour. A walk in Kingswear brought us to a point where we could see beyond the mouth of the estuary, and there was Europa anchored off shore.
