We’ve been enjoying our last day, a sea day, on Britannia. We were up until quite late last night but stayed in bed late this morning and haven’t really done anything noteworthy today. The weather has been glorious today – sunny and warm enough all day, with pleasant breezes. We breakfasted; wandered round parts of the ship and took some photographs; found some space on a high deck and enjoyed the sun; had a coffee in Java; went back to the open deck; moved to the buffet and had lunch; went back to the open deck; eventually moved down to the area around the Serenity pool on the Sun deck; and have just (5 o’clock) returned to the cabin to throw things into bags.
After we’ve packed we’ll find somewhere for dinner (at the moment the Glasshouse is looking a likely destination), perhaps have one last drink in the Crow’s Nest, and then have a reasonably early night. We’re self-disembarking tomorrow morning and that starts at 7am.
We’ve had a good cruise, and have enjoyed it, but now we’re approaching its end so this is the last post I shall do from on board Britannia. Sometime soon – perhaps late tomorrow, perhaps on Monday – I’ll do my usual summary of both the cruise and our opinion of Britannia. This latter topic may be causing some dispute between us…. But that will come later. I hope my readers have enjoyed these posts.
